This is a signed print of “Famous Fighters P-47D Thunderbolt” by Mark Postlethwaite, signed at the bottom by Colonel Hub Zemke, a P-47 Ace credited with 16 kills, and a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star with cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross with 6 clusters, the British Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, the Legion of Merit, the Air Medal with 3 clusters, the French Croix de Guerre, and the Belgian Croix de Guerre. The print is limited edition, numbered 276/1000.
HUBERT 'HUB' ZEMKE (1814-1994) Fighter pilot during World War II credited with 16 ‘kills', and leader of the 56th Fighter Group known as ‘Zemke's Wolf Pack'.
The print is framed, the frame measuring 15¼ x 20¼”. The frame retains a hanging wire and is ready to hang.
