Original Set of Two WWII European Axis Powers Aluminum Canteens - German M-31 and Italian

Original Items: Only One Set of Two Available. Here we have a very set of service used aluminum canteens from the two primary European members of the Axis powers: Italy and Germany.
The German canteen is the standard M-31 canteen, with an aluminum body covered with a green wool felt cover. It still retains a worn leather harness, which has been repaired on the back to have a makeshift belt hook. It still has the aluminum cap, but no sealing washer, and the cap and body are both marked ESB 40 for Eduard Sommerfeld, Berlin, made in 1940.
The Italian canteen canteen is the standard infantry model, with a sewn on coarsely woven blue wool cover, and papercloth shoulder strap. It still has the original aluminum screw cap, but no sealing washer. Like most Italian canteens we have seen, there are no maker marks whatsoever.
