Original Set of 4 British 18th - 19th Century Copper & Brass Powder Flasks - circa 1780 - 1850

Original Items: One-of-a-kind Set. This is a lovely set of four powder flasks, dating from 1780 until 1850. We believe their origin is English and each is constructed of copper & brass with decorative embossing. All have adjustable spouts for measuring loads.
We believe their origin is English and each is constructed of brass with decorative embossing. They are as follows:
- Brass fitted copper flask measuring about 7 5/8" x 3 1/8 with a functional spout and release lever. The spout properly unscrews for loading of the powder, though the whole cap does not unscrew.
- Brass fitted blacked copper flask measuring about 7 7/8" x 3 1/8 with a functional 2-3 dram spout and release lever. The spout properly unscrews for cleaning and the entire cap also unscrews for loading of the powder. It has 4 fittings for a strap attachment.
- Brass fitted copper flask measuring about 8" x 3 1/8 with a functional release lever. The adjustable spout is currently frozen, and can also not currently be unscrewed from the flask. There is also a split in the side.
- Large Brass fitted copper flask measuring about 9 1/8" x 3 5/8 with a functional 4-6 Dram spout, which is loose. The release lever for the powder works, however the spring is broken, so it will not stay shut. The spout properly unscrews for loading of the powder, though the whole cap does not unscrew.
Offered as found, uncleaned and showing some minor dents, as they came out of the attic, a totally honest all brass powder flask collection with 150 years of age!
