Original Saving Private Ryan U.S. WWII “D-Day Scene” M41 Field Jacket Costume Piece

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a M41 field jacket costume piece or prop that was used by an actor during the filming of Stephen Spielberg's epic WW2 film Saving Private Ryan. It is in a size 40 and is ink stamped U.S. SPR under the interior left armpit.

Furthermore, in the left front slash pocket it would have the original maker tag which were exclusive to the production run of this film (and forgeries always lack) though this one is missing the tag and appears to may have been removed. This M41 appears to have been modified for use in inclement weather. There is a soft wool lining stitched on the inside of the jacket, making it impossible to confirm the tag in the slash pocket.

It was manufactured of the highest quality standards by SM Wholesale who is a premiere company which outfits the movie industry. This jacket is offered in excellent condition and truly is a related part of WW2 history.

Interestingly, IMA supplied many of the Machine Guns, Edged Weapons and loads of other equipment for Saving Private Ryan which was released in 1998 and set the bar for the WW2 film genre.
