Original Russian WWII 1944 Dated Maxim M1910 Snow Cap Fluted Display Machine Gun with Sokolov Mount and Original Shield

Original Item: Only One Available. One of our very last! This original WWII issue Russian M-1910 Maxim was built to BATF approved specs using one of our all original Russian stunning parts sets assembled on our BATF approved steel dummy non-firing receiver incorporating most internal parts. This example looks to be almost entirely of WWII Era parts, though it may have some WWI era parts, as did many of the guns the Russians used during WWII. It also includes some wonderful period accessories such as:
- Original Russian issue MG parts.
- Original Russian M1910 Fluted Steel Water Jacket with a "Snow Cap", which allowed snow to be put directly into the water jacket easily.
- Original Russian WWII manufactured shield (serial # 4756)
- Original Russian Steel excellent condition Sokolov wheeled mount.
- Newly made BATF approved side plates.
The top cover of this example is marked with a circle on the top cover, which has a hexagon inside with an Arrow, for the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (Russian: Ижевский Механический Завод, Izhevsky Mekhancheskiy Zavod). This plant was founded in 1942 to manufacture small arms. Around this logo is the date 1944 and below this is serial number No. TK524. The rest of the display gun is unmatching, but does have lots of markings.
This is really an excellent example, which will make a great display piece in any collection!
The PM M1910 (Пулемёт Максима на станке Соколова, Pulemyot Maxima na stanke Sokolova or "Maxim's machine gun model 1910 on Sokolov's mount") was a heavy machine gun used by the Russian Army during World War I and the Red Army during World War II. It was adopted in 1910 and was derived from Hiram Maxim's Maxim gun, chambered for the standard Russian 7.62x54mmR rifle cartridge. The M1910 was mounted on a wheeled mount (Sokolov) with a gun shield and was replaced in Soviet service by the SG-43 Goryunov, starting in 1943. In addition to the main infantry version, there were aircraft mounted (PV-1) and naval variants.
