  • Original Item: The PPSh 41 submachine gun is one of the three most recognizable submachine guns to come out of the Second World War. (The other two, of course, are the Thompson and the MP 40.) The original feed device was a 71-round drum magazine copied closely from the Finnish M31 magazine. The magazine was carried in a canvas pouch with leather fittings. The gun was also supplied with a basic cleaning kit issued in various forms for all Russian/Soviet small arms excepting pistols and revolvers.

IMA has found a very few of these magazine pouches and has combined them with the correct cleaning set. The pouch is made of heavy canvas and has two belt loops on the rear. The cover is closed with a leather strap and metal buckle. The cleaning set consists of a fabric case containing a weighted pull-through, a double brass oil and solvent bottle, and a correct PPSh disassembly tool. Very limited quantities.

Both the pouch and cleaning sets can be seen in the excellent new book on Soviet WW2 equipment, The Soviet Soldier 1941 - 1945, also available from IMA as Product Number MB9782

Dummy Gun, Drum and cartridges are not included.
