Original Item: Only One Available. In 1906 William Scully of Montreal produced pillbox hats for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In 1973 they again were asked to produce only 100 more for ceremonial and parade use. This run of pillbox hats was produced to the exact same standards as the ones from 1906. Here is an excellent example of the 1973 production offered in excellent condition. It is comprised of a fine blue wool body, gilt wire ribbon, leather sweatband and red satin liner interior with WIlliam Scully maker label.
We measured the exterior of the hat, ant it is 56cm around, so the interior is definitely a few cm smaller, probably around 53 or 54cm, which would be a U.S. 6 5/8 - 6 3/4. Definitely a smaller size.
