  • Original Item: Only One available. This is a very good example of a rare German WWII NSFK Service Kepi, often called a "Coffee Can Hat." These were worn by NSFK members when in uniform, such as at meetings and recruiting events. It is made of Fliegerblau (Flyer's Blue) "whipcord" woven fabric, with a faux scalloped skirt, and very nice Goldgelb (gold-yellow) piping around the crown and scallop. The front crown has the correct early war NSFK Reichsadler above a silver button.

The kepi still has a nice black leather chinstrap, held in place by the correct black buttons. The interior has an beige rayon lining, with a supple leather sweatband in great condition. The top has a fully intact celluloid sweat shield diamond, which is maker marked underneath:

    A. Schweyer
    München
    Theresienstr. 7
    Tel. 20969

Condition of the kepi is very good, near excellent, with little sign of age or use. The only issue is that the wool does have some moth nips, mostly on the rear, but also a few small bits on the grown. There is also oxidation on the Reichsadler insignia on the front top, which has exposed the copper flash coat.

These are rare in any condition, and this is definitely a superb example!

A very hard to find NSFK Service Kepi in excellent condition, ready to display!

The National Socialist Flyers Corps (Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps; NSFK) was a paramilitary organization of the NSDAP Party that was founded 15 April 1937 as a successor to the German Air Sports Association; the latter had been active during the years when a German air force was forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles. The NSFK organization was based closely on the para-military organization of the Sturmabteilung (SA). A similar group was the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK).
