Original Rare German WWII G43 K43 Type 11a Pebbled Rubberized Webbing Double Magazine Pouch

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Available. These rare, and this is the first example that we have had! The Gewehr 43 or Karabiner 43 (abbreviated G43, K43, Gew 43, Kar 43) was a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporated an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40. It was manufactured using innovative mass-production techniques. The rifle was designed for many uses, including use as a sniper rifle, which would include the Gw ZF 4 Sniper scope.

As it came out relatively late in the war, the magazine pouches were designed rapidly and produced even faster, which led to a wide variety of styles and materials being used. Many of these were "ersatz" style replacement materials, as by that point leather and even fabric had become hard to come by. Collectors have developed some designations to help classify the variety of materials, and this double pouch is a Type 11a, made from pebble grained tan rubberized webbing. It features leather front closure straps and stud fittings, with dark web belt loops and a leather retained D-ring on the back. It measures approximately 8 1/4" x 4" x 1 3/4" and is in very good condition, with little sign of use. For more information on the numerous styles, please see this website: G - K/43 magazine pouches.

A great piece of WWII memorabilia, ready to go with an original G43 / k43 rifle, or add to your German field gear collection.
