Original Prussian Model 1809 Percussion Conversion Musket Marked NEISSE 1835

Original Item: Only One Available. Original Prussian .75" (17mm) smoothbore musket marked with a Crown over NEISSE 1835 on the lock plate and again on the barrel. The brass butt plate is regimentally marked 23 .L.W.R.
The 42" barrel with signs of powder burn at the breach is in solid and presentable condition being fully polished as the day it was originally issued. Many of these Prussian muskets were imported just prior to the U.S. Civil War and re-issued, mostly to the Confederacy.
A fine and most appealing example.

These antique guns are not sold in "live" condition. They are sold as collector's items or as "wall hangers". Any attempt at restoring an antique gun to be operational is strongly discouraged and is done so at the risk of the customer.
