  • Original Item: Only One Available. Original Prussian .75" (17mm) smoothbore musket marked with a Crown over DANZIG 1821 on the lock plate. The city of Danzig was formerly in East Prussia but today is the city of GDANSK in Poland. The brass butt plate is regimentally marked 21.L.W.R.

The 42" barrel with signs of powder burn at the breach is in solid and presentable condition being fully polished as the day it was originally issued. Many of these Prussian muskets were imported just prior to the U.S. Civil War and re-issued, mostly to the Confederacy.

A fine and most appealing example.
