Item Description
Original Item: Only one Available. This is slightly sinister, since the S.A. (Sturmabteilung - Storm Detachment) were a rowdy bunch of louts, who acted as Hiltler's heavies when he was coming to power in the early 1930's. However as a glass Beer Mug it is really quite handsome. The glass is marked 0.4 L, indicating its capacity is just under a PINT. The white metal hinged lid is inlaid in black Standarte - Kassel with the SA logo to the center.
In fine condition cut glass decoration to side in Art Deco style. Metalwork definitely has a really nice patina of age. Original pre WWII, from the city of Kassel in central Germany. This was most likely used in the headquarters there in the 1930s, before the "Night of the Long Knives".
