Original Item. Only One Available. This is a fair condition Polish Cold War era WZ69 multi-tool knife. This tool was designed in the second half of the 1950s as a result of work initiated in Poland on improving equipment of Polish Reconnaissance units. There were several other pieces developed. The idea for a special military knife originated in Poland in the late 1960s, conceived by Ryszard Szydlowski and Henryk Adamczyk, officers of the Military Institute of Armament Technology. Five designs were tested, from which the multi-purpose knife was chosen. Only 3,000 of these were produced.
This example is in rough shape showing heavy wear and a good amount of metal residue now coming out of the knife when opened. The side is stamped AN865. The original lanyard is well-retained. The knife blade still appears in good shape. The entire set will need to be deeply cleaned to remove the residue buildup.
The original case is in great condition with the leather trim still solid. There is a lot of residue on the interior of the case around a wrapped up replacement saw blade and file.
Ready for display.
