  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very interesting Philippine dagger with an ornate scabbard and wavy blade. The dagger is engraved:

    GREETINGS FROM
    CAPTAIN AND MRS.
    DANILO E. PIZARRO PN (GSC)

Pizarro took part in the 1989 Philippine Coup attempt and was likely convicted. There is no reference to him after the court case in U.S. Newspapers. We have included a photograph of him in court in 1990 in the listing. The dagger was likely engraved by him years beforehand.

The dagger measures 9½” long with a 6⅛” blade, and a 6¼” scabbard. The scabbard retains its belt loop and is beautifully ornamented with engravings. The blade is in good shape with some oxidation as shown. Someone has attempted to get rid of the engraving but was unsuccessful.

This is a very interesting Philippine Dagger with a great story, ready for further research and display.
