Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very smart original flintlock pistol very typically in the French design. It happens to have been made in Liège in what is today Belgium, but at the time most of Europe was totally controlled by NAPOLEON. The E / L G / * in an oval proof mark of Liège can be seen on the left side of the barrel.
It has a quality Walnut stock and the grip is elegantly checkered, brass/bronze Mounts and brass/bronze 6 3/4" octagonal barrel. The lock plate is un-signed. Decorated mounts, complete with iron ram rod. Overall 11 1/2" in length, and in great shape. The lock functions correctly, holding at half cock and firing at full.
Exactly what Napoleon's Officers would have carried. Great and ready to display!
