Original Napoleonic Era Ottoman Flintlock Pistol with Brass Barrel and Carved stock c.1800-20

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Dating to between 1800 and 1820, this is typical of Ottoman craftsmanship, however it is extremely unusual to see an Ottoman pistol with an all BRASS Barrel. The Barrel measures 12 1/2", with thee entire pistol measuring 19 1/2" in overall length.

The barrel just MAYBE of British origin in that there appear to be some proof marks, most likely FAUX, in the back end. The wood stock is heavily carved and checkered. The brass mounts are decorated with line engravings. The ramrod is phony as is Ottoman tradition, the ramrod for reloading was carried separately on a lanyard carried around the neck.

Fully cleaned with polished steel and brass sparkling as when new, with slight wood loss in front of the lock, dating to the Napoleonic Wars.
