  • Original Item: One Only. At first glance we felt this was of Indian subcontinent origin, however the blade style indicates manufacture in the Middle East, very possibly Egypt or Persia.

The curved blade 7 1/2 inch blade is "forked" and covered in silver decoration. When examined carefully the blade resembles the head of an IBIS, a bird found on the river Nile and considered as Religious to Egyptians. The hilt is iron very much on the lines of a Jambiya and it also shows remains of the same silver decoration. Overall length is 12 1/2 inches.

It is genuinely old, we estimate perhaps early 18th century. Shows wear from its age but very presentable and ready to display.

    Ready to display.
