Original Mid - Late 18th Century Carved Powder Horn with Game Fowl and Stag Designs

Original Item: One of a Kind. Just come to light from an old Estate Collection, this is a lovely carved Cow Horn Powder Flask, measuring 12 1/2 inches in overall length. It is missing the bottom and the plug, but the carving on the outside is definitely lovely, and must have taken some time to achieve. It shows various border designs around the bottom, both square and triangle style. Above this is a carved stag, some foliage, and several game fowl. There are some more border designs above this, and what looks to be an N G monogram carved.
The spout end still has a metal band around it, with an attached copper ring. There is definitely a lot of artistry to this powder horn, and possibly some great research potential.
