  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is an incredibly-etched powder horn, named to Jeremiah Wall and dated 1836 with a later 1881 date underneath that. The horn is missing its original wooden bottom, and has a modern replacement.

The horn measures roughly 9½” and is inscribed with a depiction of a large naval vessel next to the sun, under potted plants and other small motifs. The horn is named JEREMIAH WALL 1836 / 1881. The spout has some additional zig-zag markings.

This is a tremendous named powder horn that could use further research. The replacement bottom could use some darkening to match it to the horn better, and a plug. A fantastic example, ready for further research and display.
