Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice late Cold War / Soviet Collapse era (1990 dated) Soviet Flag of the chief of the Main Staff of the Soviet Navy. Previously known as the "Flag of chief of the Naval General Staff" until 1964, this wonderful canvas or linen flag measures 89 x 44 inches, the perfect size for a Cold War Wall display.
The flag is white, withe a blue bar on the bottom, representing the ocean, with the Soviet "Hammer and Sickle" on the right. The left side has a Red Star and Anchor inside a gold wreath, the emblem of the Naval chief of staff. The colors are retained very well ,and the material is in great shape, with the original hanging rope loops still present.
The reverse side of the flags header is marked 1990r, indicating manufacture in 1990. The header is also marked with other words in Russian, which we have not been able to translate.
A lovely flag, right from around the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union, ready to display!
