    This is one of the earliest recorded true British Sea Service Flintlock Brass Barreled Blunderbusses of the Georgian era. Dog Lock marked BANKES over 15 for the year 1715 across the tail. Also bearing a Crown over G.R. to center of lock plate.


    Features of note include; early brass sea service mounts of flat nailed butt plate, trigger guard with disc front finial and interesting early triangular brass side plate encompassing three lock bolts.


    All Brass barrel with a length of 15.75" has a cannon style with steel tang and inverted tang bolt rising from directly in front of the trigger.


    The brass thimble nosed wood ramrod is probably a working life replacement.


    Overall length is 31 inches.
