Original Japanese WWII Officer's Amber and Brown Lacquered Trousse Chopstick and Knife Set

Original Items: One Set Only. I.M.A. has acquired a small Japanese WW2 Collection of Swords, and with it came these very interesting Officer's Eating Sets. Each consists of a pair of heavily decorated chopsticks and an accompanying knife similarly decorated. These are all contained in a purpose made carry case (Trousse) all decorated to match.
This is the third set we have offered, and it is 11 1/2" overall length. The case is made of of lacquered wood in a most attractive color combination of amber with mid brown spots. It has a small TANTO style knife with a 6 1/2" blade and a lacquered hilt to match the Case (Trousse). It also contains a pair of slim ivory or bone chopsticks. A very pleasing set.
We are told this set was removed from a WW2 Japanese Officer together with his Sword by an British Allied Soldier in South East Asia.
