Field glasses have no internal prisms that can be knocked out of alignment so their main advantage is that they are durable, making them a good choice for file combat operations. These binoculars measure 3.5” L x 5” W with an approximate magnification of 5x. They are in very good condition with clear optics and are serial numbered 110183.

Included is an original Japanese WWII tropical canvas case with shoulder strap, the case is in excellent condition with operational leather closer tab, metal fittings and leather tabs. The top of the case has ink stamp Kanji characters. Inside the case its is marked DICK BOHANNON under the lip of the cover and D.B. on in these of the cover. Research revealed that Richard L Bohannon, Army Serial Number 39553895, enlisted on January 14th, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. He was a warrant officer in the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific Theatre during WW2. These were brought back by Dick after the war as a remembrance of his time in the Pacific.
