Item Description
Original Items: Only One Available. This is an exceptional opportunity to add a rare Imperial Japanese Navy uniform to your collection - the notorious "whites". If you have ever served in the Navy and had the displeasure of wearing a white uniform, you'll know how easy it is to stain them. The uniform set we’re showcasing here may have some stains and wear, but age toning has blended everything together, giving the uniform an attractive beige-like color. Despite its condition, finding Navy whites in any state is a challenge in today's market.
The Imperial Japanese Navy served as the navy of the Empire of Japan from 1868 until its dissolution following the country's surrender in World War II in 1945. By 1920, the Imperial Japanese Navy had become the third largest navy in the world, following the Royal Navy and the United States Navy (USN). The fleet was supported by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, which was responsible for aircraft and airstrike operations. During the Pacific War, the Imperial Japanese Navy was the primary adversary of the Western Allies. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) was established between 1952 and 1954 after the IJN was dissolved.
A great uniform set that presents itself without any extensive damage other than staining. Comes more than ready for further research and display.
