Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting Japanese photo album put together by a soldier in the Imperial Japanese Army. The album measures 14 ¼ x 10 ¾ x 1 ¾” and is quite damaged with the spine torn away and the back cover nearly entirely detached.
There are 102 photographs total, including many of soldiers in uniform, during training, one shot of a Japanese pilot with his Katana, many photos of soldiers in group photos, some high ranking officers, a shot of a soldier with a flag on his rifle, some family photos, and sight seeing photos. There is some great material despite the damage, and there are some pages with inscriptions that could be translated.
Some of the pages are detached from the damage and there is some further damage to the covers. The cover appears to read “Graduation Commemoration / First Batch of apprentice workers from the Skilled Workers Training Center”.
A lovely album, ready for display!
