Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice original Japanese WWII Army officer’s web belt fitted with an integrated saber suspension fitting and retaining its original nickeled chain and hardware. The combination of web construction, leather trim, brass buckle, and sword suspension components makes this an especially appealing example of Japanese officer field equipment.
The webbed canvas body shows light soiling and age-related wear but remains intact overall. Both ends are finished with stitched leather trim, which is still present and in good condition.
The brass buckle shows a lovely patina, but the leather has some crazing issues. When unbuckled, the belt measures roughly 39” long. Both ends have a leather trim stitched on and in good shape. The leather adjustment strap shows crazing but is still solid. There are no markings we can find.
The combination of the original web body, brass buckle, stitched leather end trim, surviving adjustment strap, and complete nickeled saber suspension chain and hardware makes this a strong example of Japanese officer field equipment. The leather wear and cracking are consistent with age and service, while the principal components remain together and present well
