Original Japanese WWII Aluminum Maker Marked Canteen in Canvas Carrier

Original Item: This is a nice totally original USGI bring back Japanese WW2 aluminum canteen with original cork wood stopper. The canteen is maker marked on the bottom. This marking looks like a Globe, and has ALUMINUM / OSAKA inside of it. Under the logo are the Japanese numbers 二 六 〇 一 or 2601, which we assume is a lot number.
The web harness is in good condition, with the expected fading and wear from being in long service. The leather strap that retains the canteen and stopper is unfortunately in delicate condition, with the steel buckles being rusted frozen.
Overall a wonderful wartime issue canteen offered complete! Ready to add to your collection.
