Original Japanese WWII Aluminum Canteen Dated 1940 with Canvas Carrier

Original Item: This is a nice & totally original USGI bring-back Japanese WW2 aluminum canteen with original cork aluminum stopper. The canteen is maker-marked and dated on the bottom. There is an arsenal ink stamp reading 昭 15 on the bottom of the canteen, for the 15th year of Emperor Showa's reign, 1940.
The web harness is in good shape, though it definitely shows wear, with dirt and rust damage. The canvas strap that retains the canteen and stopper is in good condition. The harness is solid, with honest wear.
Overall a wonderful wartime issue canteen offered complete and dated. Well marked and issued ones this nice are hard to find. Ready to add to your collection!
