Original Japan WWII Imperial Japanese Officer Service Tunic With Captain Rank Collar Tabs

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely example of what appears to be a high quality, unissued example of a WWII Imperial Japanese Officer’s uniform tunic. The jacket which is presented without any extensive damage or wear, came to us with removed Captain’s collar tabs in the pocket, so we believe this to have once been a part of a Captain’s uniform set.

This Model 1943 is a light weight, high quality, private purchase service tunic constructed from olive drab colored wool. Its single-breasted front closure has five, flat buttons to it, each of which are of gold-colored metal, dual hooks and eyes at the throat, along with five original collar liner attachment studs. Two button-down, scalloped pocket flaps, with exaggerated points, are to the chest while two unbuttoned, straight pocket flaps are to the hips. The interior is fully lined with a small, button and scallop flap pocket is to left of the interior.

An incredible example that comes more than ready for further research and display.
