Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely example of what appears to be a high quality, service-worn WWII Imperial Japanese Officer’s uniform tunic. The jacket which is presented without any extensive damage or wear, bears great bullion collar rank tabs for 2nd Lieutenant.
This Model 1943 is a light weight, high quality, private purchase service tunic constructed from olive drab colored wool. Its single-breasted front closure has five, flat buttons to it, each of which are of gold-colored metal, dual hooks and eyes at the throat but one hook is missing, along with five original collar liner attachment studs. Two button-down, scalloped pocket flaps, with exaggerated points, are to the chest while two unbuttoned, straight pocket flaps are to the hips. The interior is fully lined with a small, button and scallop flap pocket is to left of the interior.
The interior has a nametag with two Kanji characters, a good research project.
An incredible example that comes ready for further research and display.
