Original Italian WWII Wool Multi-piece National Flag - 57" X 84"

Original Item: Only One Available. Brought back by a USGI after WWII, this is a very good condition Italian National Flag, which measures approximately 57" X 84". The flag header is unmarked, but this flag seems to have seen long service, so it was probably washed several times, which probably removed the markings. This flag design was replaced in 1946 with the current Italian flag.
The flag does show light wear, and has a few scattered wear holes as shown. It is constructed of wool, which went out of favor quickly after WWII as superior synthetics were available. The halyard is still present, with a loop at the top, however the bottom extension has been removed.
A wonderful very hard to find flag, perfect for any Italian World War Two collection.
