Original Italian WWII Service Worn National Flag with Hang Ties - 42" X 65"

Original Item: Only One Available. Brought back by a USGI after WWII, this is very nice Italian National Flag, which looks to have seen long service during the war. It measures approximately 42" X 65", is of three piece construction, with each color being a different piece. The Italian National emblem is dyed onto the white central portion. It does not have a separate header, but instead has three hanging ties on one side, probably to hang it vertically. This flag design was replaced in 1946 with the current Italian flag.
The flag has a small label that reads BANDIERE / VE-DE-ME, the Italian word for "flag", and possibly a maker abbreviation. The flag is in good condition, though there is definitely fading of the colors, especially the green. There is some running of the red onto the white and green sections, so it looks to have been exposed to water while folded.
A very hard to find flag these days, perfect for any Italian World War Two collection.
