The textile company that made this flag in the 1940s apparently still exists today and can be found at this website. Here is a translated history we found online:
The Linificio Canapificio Nazionale is witness to a past in which the waters that bathed Cassano, lost the protective function, represented a resource for the supply of electricity. In fact, the power plant that exploited the waters of the Muzza, the irrigation canal dug in 1230 that was detached from the Adda right in Cassano, opened in 1927 to supply the Linificio. The linificio, initially intended for simple spinning, was completed with the weaving and bleaching departments of linen and hemp. In fact the place was occupied by a spinning mill until in 1873 the company LCN, which already owned a factory in Fara Gera d'Adda, bought the buildings organizing the company according to the English models, both in design and in machinery, making them, towards the end of 1800, one of the largest linifici of Europe. Along the road that runs along the building stands the dry bulk of the Convitto Operaio, built in 1907 to accommodate part of the workers. The production closed in 1994.
A wonderful very hard to find flag, perfect for any Italian World War Two collection.
