Original Italian WWII Model 1900 Flare Gun by Castelli of Brescia with Aluminum Grips - dated 1940

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an Excellent condition Italian Model 00 (Model 1900) flare signal pistol dated 1940 with factory original checkered aluminum grips. It bears clear manufacture markings on the left side of the frame:

The pistol has nearly all of its Original Factory Bluing, with a case-hardened hammer. The right side of the frame is marked with serial number A649, while inside the breech both the frame and barrel a marked with assembly number 527. It has a strong Hammer spring, and as far as we can tell is mechanically fully functional. The Firing pin is absent but can be easily replaced with factory pin or similar. These were usually deactivated when sold out of service. There is a bit of chain attached to the intact lanyard ring, but we are not sure why it was added.
