Original Italian WWII Italian Regia Marina Naval Officer’s Bicorne Chapeau Hat with Cockade and Button by Coruzzolo

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a tremendous piece of Italian Navy history, a Regia Marina Officer’s bicorne chapeau hat with lovely bullion knots and board over the correct Italian cockade and ended with a large Italian Navy button. The velvet exterior has heavy wear with some retained in recesses. There is tearing of the black band at the edges.
The interior retains a wide leather sweatband still well-stitched to the edge, with the correct adjustment bow at the end. There were two rectangular metal clips attached at the top, but one has torn away and is behind the sweatband. The silk-lined crown is marked in gold with a Royal Italian crown over CORUZZOLO, the maker. It is roughly a size 7 ¼, a very scarce large size.
