Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice Italian WWII Axis Powers "Friendship Pennant", made to celebrate the alliance of Germany, Italy, and Japan. The pennant measures 5 3/4" in hoist by 9 3/8" in fly, and the design is made up of three fields triangles, which show the Italian Fascist, German NSDAP, and Imperial Japanese flag emblems. We have seen similar pennants from Italy before, and the Italian Flag being in the upper corner definitely suggests it is Italian.
It is made from thin oilcloth type fabric with the design printed into the fabric, and has a folded over header. It definitely shows period wear, and has some fraying and stitch pulling.
