Original Items: Only One Lot Available. This is a lovely lot of four different Italian medals dating from the WWI through WWII period. All medals retain their ribbons, but are in varying degrees of condition.

- War Merit Cross (Italy): The Italian War Merit Cross was awarded to members of the armed forces with a minimum of one year's service in contact with an enemy, or who received the Medal of the Wounded, or to those who, when mentioned for war merit, received a promotion. Also, if an act of valour was deemed insufficient for the Medal of Military Valor, the War Merit Cross could be awarded instead; from 1922 onwards a bronze sword on the ribbon showed this class of award.

- Italian Medal of Military Valor in Silver: The Italian Silver Medal of Military Valor (Medaglia d'argento al valor militare) is a medal awarded for gallantry in combat. It was established in 1793 by King Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia, and is intended for junior officers and soldiers. The medal is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves in combat, similar to the British Military Cross.

- Medal of the Italian Fighting League for the Fascist Campaign 1919-1922: Unofficial Medal that was established in 1923 to be awarded to those initial members of the Benito Mussolini's Fascist "Italian Fighting League" that participated in the "March on Rome" that rose the Fascists to power in 1922. Despite being an unofficial award it was worn regularly on the uniform like all the rest campaign medals.

- Gorizia Medal: Medal to commemorate Battle of Gorizia. We haven’t found any solid information on this example, good for research.
