Original Italian WWI Inert Petardo Offensive Grenade with Fuze Cover - Very Rare

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great and scarce example of the Italian P.O. Petardo Offensive grenade. The grenade consists of a sheet iron cylinder, flat at the base and curved at the top. The outer wall, painted green, bears the two large letters "PO" indicating the type of bomb: offensive peterdo. At the top would be an "Olergon" model primer fuse, though the fuze is gone. The metal alloy cover, also cylindrical and ending in a flattened cone, is still retained. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export.
The grenade has a hole punched through the side with HG-77 / INERT painted on in white. The P.O. is still very clear. The top of the fuze cover still unscrews for inspection of the interior.
A very scarce grenade to find in any condition, and the first we have ever offered! Ready to display.
