Original Italian Flintlock Pistol made for the Mediterranean Market circa 1785

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Unsigned but clearly of Italian style manufacture, this Flintlock Pistol dates from 1785-1800 and is typical of the type found all around
the Mediterranean Sea. Nice walnut wood stock with all brass mounts, including long eared butt cap, side plate, trigger guard and ramrod pipes. It is 18 inches in overall length,and has an unadorned brass escutcheon plate.

The 11" steel barrel bears small line engravings and brass panel inlays. In fully operational condition, this is a fine example of of an 18th century holster pistol often contained in a leather holster on the right side of horse's head.

Cleaned and ready to display.
