A lovely elegant Italian Flintlock Pistol that could date from the last years of the 17th century with very early characteristics such as no frizzen reinforcement on the powder pan and having the tang screw rising from the trigger plate into the threaded barrel tang.
Other notable features include; a most attractive decorated brass mounts and bone tipped ramrod. The lock boldly marked ROSSI and the 14.5-inch barrel silver inlaid around a gold inlaid barrel maker's mark.
