  • Original Item. Only One Available. The Republic of Genoa was a medieval and early modern maritime republic from the years 1099 to 1797 in Liguria on the northwestern Italian coast. During the Late Middle Ages, it was a major commercial power in both the Mediterranean and Black Sea. Between the 16th and 17th centuries, it was one of the major financial centres in Europe.

This is a gorgeous Genoese Stiletto knife which dates to roughly 1540. It sports a very oxidized 11¾” blade with an overall length of 16⅜”. The blade is very rough and chipped in several places.

The hilt is gorgeously carved horn which is in the shape of a Goddess’ head. There is some cracking in the hilt but it still appears structurally sound. A very interesting and old knife, ready for further research and display.

    Dimensions:
    Blade length: 11¾”
    Blade Style: Single-Edged Stiletto
    Overall length: 16⅜”
