This is a classic vintage Arabian camel powdehorn made from a cow or bull horn mounted in decorated brass including two large brass suspension rings for use with a substantial cord attached to a camel's saddle. A design dating back hundreds of years this example dating from the Victorian era of 1837-1901. Found all over the North African desert, the Sahara and across the Middle Eastern regions wherever Camels were found. Ideal for their task and very decorative . Measuring almost 20 in length around the long side of the curve or 15" from front to back.
