  • Original Item: Only One Available. This sword is of high quality and dates to the Georgian era (18th and early 19th Century). It is a Tulwar War Sword, which was the traditional sword of the Indian military for the 18th and 19th centuries.

This particular example has an old 18th century blade that may very well be from the 1600's. The traditional TULWAR iron hilt however looks to be of more modern construction, and is covered in lovely Silver leaf decoration of floral motifs making this clearly the Sword of a person of importance. The 27 3/4 inch long blade has a single fuller and what looks to be Armorer's mark on the ricasso near the cross guard. Overall length of this Tulwar is 32 1/2 inches.

Silver decorated Tulwars such as this are not often encountered. In fine condition, probably over 200 years of age, ready to display.
