Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very rare late war Enamel Japanese Navy canteen in phenomenal shape, all complete with its original khaki and leather straps still retained. These enameled canteens are very scarce, and this is the first we have had to offer. The canteen itself is in great shape, with 98% of the original paint still intact. The Naval insignia on this canteen is very unique, featuring the usual Anchor with an added lighthouse, which may shine light onto the exact unit this canteen was issued for.
The canteen is in great shape, the leather strap around the cap still pliable and the buckles still retained. There is some staining to the khaki straps as shown. The cork still functions well but we have not removed the leather buckles to remove the cork. This canteen is in phenomenal untouched condition and we would recommend leaving it that way!
This canteen will fit great into any Japanese Navy or WWII Collection. The insignia is very unique and requires a great deal more research! Don’t miss out!
