Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting WWII Japanese “Meatball” flag which retains the original maker’s tag, which labels it as a Japanese signal flag KK, with the maker’s address in Tokyo and Osaka City underneath. The flag is multi-piece, with the red sun a separate piece of fabric. The flag has a header with a long rope halyard. This makes it a military example, and may even be Navy.
The flag measures 34 ½ x 47 ½” and is in great shape with staining and some minor tearing. The flag is of a heavy canvas material and is one of the nicest Japanese flags we have seen.
A very nice example, ready for further research and display.
