  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is an exceptionally rare excellent condition inert demilitarized genuine Japanese Type 11 Incendiary Smoke Grenade. This example is offered in excellent condition complete with pin, fuse, pull string, and removable lower booster (the booster is almost always missing!). This is the first example of a Type 11 we have ever offered.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The grenade does not have a removable top cap and instead appears fragmented on this section. Additionally, the fuze cover only covers the top portion of the fuze, correct for a Type 11. The fuse on this example is actually marked with a Japanese date: 6 四 十 昭. This marking is written right to left, and would be read: SHOWA (current reigning emperor) Juu-Roku Nen (14th year of reign - 1939) 6th month (June).

An outstanding example of a very scarce grenade, ready for further research and display.
