Original Item: Only One Available. This is an Imperial Japanese Navy maritime signal flag that all ships from every nation would be equipped with. The IJN added its own secondary meaning to the international numeral flags to denote unit types. This Pennant signal flag representing the numeral "8" in the International Maritime Code, but it was used by the IJN to represent the word "Submarine Fleet".
It is comprised of multi-piece canvas construction, with Japanese stamps and paper tag, hoist connections and header all intact. It measures: 144' x 40" (widest) x 10" (Narrowest).
