Original Imperial Japanese Army WWII Type 90 Civil Defense Helmet with Kanji Markings
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an extremely rare Type 90 Civil defense helmet, complete with an intact cloth liner and chin strap. The Japanese WWII Civil Defense helmet was the final of four variations of the Type 90 Army helmet and was designed specifically for mainland civil defense.
Overall condition is very good with correct brown paint, with some overall oxidation on the exterior. The paint job did not adhere very well, allowing the base metal to oxidize, removing more paint. There is some overall scuffing, but no dents or any major damage. There is no badge on the helmet. There is painted Kanji characters present on the underside of the helmet and we believe these to possibly be a district location in which the wearer was assigned.
This is an excellent opportunity to pick up a WWII issue type 90 Tetsubo helmet, a necessity for any Japanese WWII headgear collection.
