Original Imperial Japanese Army WWII Type 90 Civil Defense Helmet with Badge
Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an extremely rare Type 90 Civil defense helmet, complete with a large Civil Defense badge emblem on the front. There looks to be a large Kanji, or possibly several, over a laurel wreath with a "Cherry Blossom" in the middle. The Japanese WWII Civil Defense helmet was the final of four variations of the Type 90 Army helmet and was designed specifically for mainland civil defense.
Overall condition is very good with correct brown paint. There is some scuffing and a bit of paint loss on the top, but nothing major. Inside is a late war faux leather liner, which is in good but worn condition. The original chin strap is mostly missing, with just a few inches on the back securing loop.
This is an excellent opportunity to pick up a WWII issue type 90 Tetsubo helmet, a necessity for any Japanese WWII headgear collection.
