Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a great set of German WWI and inter-war era medals and other pins. There are 13 in this set, though some are broken and missing pieces, which have fallen off over the years. Please see photos for finer details.
The lot includes:
- Very Rare Flanders Cross for Navy veterans with two campaign bars for Ypern (Ypres) and Durchbruchsschlacht (the Breakthrough Battle or Battle of Gorlice-Tarnów). Parade style mount but the pin is missing.
- War Commemorative Medal of 1870–1871 with ribbon, good shape. Rim is engraved AUS EROBERTEM GESCHUETZ (From conquered cannon).
- “Deutscher Krieger Bund” pin with Imperial flag ribbons, maker-marked on back.
- 1922 engraved shooter’s medal, no ribbon. Named to Peter Henn.
- Major v. Lutzow medal, no ribbon.
- Prussia red cross medal planchet, no ribbon or ring.
- Hohenzollern Commemorative Medal for Combatants 1848-1849 planchet, no ribbon.
- 1797-1887 square Wilhelm I medal, no ribbon.
- Two Honor Crosses 1914-1918 planchets, one combat and one civilian, combat one has ribbon.
- Two small glass pendants with German composers, one for Bach and one for von Goethe.
- Bavarian Ludenscheid medal planchet, no ribbon.
- ULLR Medal planchet with enamel eagle, reading Zugspitze 2966. No ribbon.
- 1908 von Zeppelin tiny medal, no ribbon.
- Kbl. Sachs Mil Ver. GROHSBARDAU & UMG brass badge, not sure of meaning.
- 1929 shooting medal with white and blue ribbon, likely Bavarian.
